ROLE AND DEPARTMENT
The City Manager is responsible for retail sales including promotional and in-store activities related to a Duty-Free distribution channel and organization. The job holder plans activities and promotions together with the KA Manager and Trade Marketing to set the targets and deliver the results, supported by necessary activities executed in the stores. The role is responsible for maximizing sell out performance, building up relationship with the store management, developing BA Team’s knowledge, skills and efficiency, and for providing feedback on competitors and retailers activities to the other departments within Travel Retail.
Retail Manager reports to Senior Retail Manager.

THE ROLE
RETAIL SALES/EXCELLENCE
Regular updating of sell out report via HUB/internal trackers
Monitor closely on the retail performance including newness and our core lines
Strong partnership with retailer to ensure timely on-counter date for newness and to gain resources and supports from the stores
Plan and implement suitable incentives to drive sellout in line with competition standards
Identification of any risk/opportunities from sales report, and take necessary actions after align with Senior Retail Manager and other departments
Identify potential space/ visibility improvement at shopfloor or any business opportunities to improve our retail sales performance

BA MANAGEMENT
Lead and motivate the BA Team and develop their product knowledge and selling techniques
Ensure every BA is an Ambassador of the Brand. Providing feedback and coaching to them on service behaviors that drive retail excellence
Monitor BA monthly performance and examine ways to improve their productivity.

Uniform management

RETAIL EXCELLENCE
Ensure timely updates of merchandizing executions in accordance with our corporate guidelines
Ensure perfect store to be observed at all times (sufficient testers, testers stand, lighting, clean counters etc)
To readily share competitor’s insight & propose appropriate actions to maximize sales and brand visibility

PROMOTION EXECUTION
Execution of all planned promotions
Provide weekly and monthly updates and follow-up on key information, promotion results, budgets and costs to the Sales Manager
Keeps abreast of and provides info on competitor activities, making recommendations to boost sales

WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Key Requirements
At least 3-5 years' working experience including at least 2 years in beauty/ cosmetics industry with an enthusiasm for retail sales
Travel Retail experience a plus, but not essential
Experience of multi-brand management is a plus
Competent in excel & PowerPoint
Strong team leadership. Good negotiation skills
Operational efficient. Strategically credible. Being able to work under fast pace and in matrix organization.
