Junior Floor and Bar Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Junior Floor and Bar Manager at our high-end bar and restaurant. This role is crucial in maintaining exceptional customer service, overseeing the bar and floor staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of the establishment during late-night hours, catering to a predominantly drinking crowd. The ideal candidate should have previous experience in the hospitality industry, a passion for mixology and customer service, and strong leadership skills.

1. Customer Service: Assist in providing excellent customer service and ensure that all guests have a memorable and enjoyable experience. Address customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally.
2. Staff Management: Assist in overseeing and coordinate the activities of floor and bar staff during late-night shifts. Train, mentor, and motivate the team to deliver outstanding service and maintain a positive work environment.
3. Inventory Control: Assist in monitoring and manage bar inventory to prevent stockouts and wastage. Place orders for supplies in a timely manner to ensure a smooth operation.
4. Mixology and Drink Knowledge: Possess a deep understanding of mixology and bar operations. Collaborate with the bar staff to create innovative and enticing cocktails that align with the establishment's theme and target audience.
5. Compliance and Safety: Assist in enforcing all relevant laws and regulations related to alcohol service and patron age verification. Implement safety protocols to maintain a secure environment for both customers and staff.
6. Financial Management: Assist in managing daily cash handling procedures, monitor sales, and control expenses to maximize profitability and minimize loss.
7. Marketing and Events: Coordinate with the marketing team to plan and promote special events, to attract and retain customers during late-night hours.
8. Ambiance and Atmosphere: Ensure that the establishment's ambiance is consistently high-end and inviting. Pay attention to lighting, music, and overall decor to create a welcoming atmosphere.
9. Conflict Resolution: Address and manage any conflicts or difficult situations that may arise during late-night hours professionally and tactfully.
10. Continuous Improvements: Stay informed about industry trends, customer preferences, and new techniques in mixology and hospitality. Suggest and implement improvements to enhance the overall customer experience.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role in a high-end bar or restaurant environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mixology, cocktail preparation, and bar operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work late-night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to alcohol service.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in PILOT point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences.
- This individual will report to the General Manager and Operations Manager.
