LGA Coordinator [Nigeria]


 

Job Overview:

We are recruiting passionate and dedicated LGA Coordinators to lead and support the implementation of our Ummatore Youth Empowerment Scheme (UYES), an initiative aimed at empowering youths and women with digital skills and knowledge to foster self-reliance. As an LGA Coordinator, you will be the driving force behind our efforts to empower youth and women at the grassroots level.

Mode of the Job: Remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all activities related to the Ummatore Youth Empowerment Scheme in the assigned LGA.
  • Assist the State Coordinator in planning and executing the empowerment scheme at the LGA level.
  • Work closely with local educational institutions, community leaders, and organizations to promote the program.
  • Collaborate with the Project Management Team to ensure effective program planning and execution.
  • Monitor and evaluate program performance, providing regular progress reports to the central management team.
  • Conduct outreach and engage with stakeholders to promote the empowerment scheme and encourage participation.
  • Collaborate with all relevant teams for the success of the empowerment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of National Diploma (ND) in Computer Science/ Engineering, Information Technology, or any relevant field.
  • A decent online presence. It can be in the form of your Github, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook or any relevant profile.
  • Experience in community engagement, program coordination, or related fields is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively interact with diverse groups.
  • Proficiency in utilizing virtual collaboration tools, including but not limited to Zoom and Google Meet.
  • Demonstrated practical expertise in effectively utilizing electronic spreadsheets, encompassing applications such as Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, among others.
  • Knowledge and understanding of digital skills training and empowerment programs is a plus.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate participants towards personal and professional growth.
  • Dedicated to making a positive impact on youth and women within the local community.
